  2. Poetry options - look at the table of contents in the Lemon Yellow book pp. xii - xxv and notice that there are subsections numbered 19 - 40, which really only equals 20 selection groupings because number 19 isn't really a poetry classification of a type of poetry.  You may select 4-8 poems from any one grouping to discuss in your Summative Portfolio analysis essay.  Confused?  Look in the Lemon Yellow book to clarify. Oh, and there is a chapter (54) entitled, "Writing about Poetry," should you care to know.

HW = Using evidence from the play, write an essay that explores what Shakespeare might be suggesting about women's roles in society?  Explain similarities and differences you see in our current culture, making sure to use your own experiences or any avenues of contemporary artistic expression to support your observations.  Due next class.
